Squire Ian
Played by Ian Bunn

Picture
Squire Ian was born in New Grange Ireland and was raised by both his mother and his father, the town blacksmith.  When Ian was two a group of thieves' came and ransacked the entire town while his father was away on business.  While trying to protect young Ian, his mother was killed. When his father returned, the town had fallen into a state of disarray.

With most everything of value gone and many of the buildings horribly damaged, a group of citizens, including Ian's father, set out to restore order in the town.

The next couple of years were not easy, but Ian survived. In his spare time away from his father’s blacksmith shop, Ian honed his skills with a sword.  If thieves came again he would be prepared!

When Ian was fifteen, a wandering group of knights came through the town looking weary from a long days travel.  The knights nearly rented out every room in the hostel of the town.    The knights planned on spending a couple of days in the town, replenishing their supplies and relaxing. Their plans were squashed when, on the third night of their stay, a group of bandits decided to try and take the small town for all it's worth.   The evildoers did not anticipate running into the group of knights who would help the well-prepared citizens of New Grange to defeat them. For their help, the town held a banquet in honor of the knights.

The leader of the group introduced himself as Lord Jeffery, and one of the other knights introduced himself as Sir Hamish MacLeod, Lord Jeffery's first knight.   Lord Jeffery explained that they were known as The Knights of Gore and that they were looking for some new squires. It was at that moment that Squire Ian asked his father's permission to join the knights.  Ian's father, knowing the limited opportunities the small town held for his son gave his blessing.  Squire Ian joined the KoG on their travels and adventures throughout the world working his hardest to become a solider, and one day, with God and Lord Jeffery's blessing he hopes to earn his knighthood and become Sir Ian of Gore!
