About The Knights Of Gore
The Knights Of Gore is a performance troupe founded upon education through audience participation and entertainment. Using medieval performances and instruction, we share an experience that is not only enjoyable and informative but also interactive in nature. We strive to leave our patrons not with the feeling that they have simply seen a great show, but that they were transported back in time and may have even contributed to the overall exhibition. This ensures all have had a more rewarding experience.
Founded by Jeffery Evans, The Knights of Gore grew from a few friends who would get together and attend renaissance faires in matching outfits. Just attending the faires was fun, but Jeffery wanted more, eventually KoG membership grew. The group began working as cast members of various faires and Jeffery starting thinking of the future.
When the other original members decided they wanted something different from what Jeffery had envisioned, they left the group. This left Jeffery and only one other knight who was an active member, Jim Irving aka Sir Hamish MacLeod. Jeffery sat down with Jim and they discussed what to do with the group. The two quickly realized that they saw eye to eye on most of the goals they had for the group. With the addition of Olivia Girioux as stage manager, and Frank Perrin as fight director, and the group began to evolve into what it is today.and it continues to evolve and grow.
